At least 42 Press Clubs members did pay exchange visits to their counterparts in 2012 as follows, six members of Shinyanga Press Club (SPC) made a three-day tour of Dar City Press Club (DCPC) between 22nd and 24th August, 2012 and Tabora Press Club (TBPC) members played host to six Central Press Club counterparts for three days effective 22nd August, 2012.

Similarly, Kagera Press Club (KPC) members played host to Singida Press Club (SINGPRESS) counterparts for three days effective 21st August, 2012, six members of Mara Regional Press Club (MRPC) visited their Tanga Press Club (TPC) counterparts between 22nd and 24th August, 2012 and Pemba Press Club (PPC) members hosted six visitors from Media Club of Manyara (MAMEC) for three days effective 22nd August, 2012.

Yet still, Media Club of Kilimanjaro (MECKI) played host to a group of six members of Kagera Press Club (KPC) for three days effective 27th August, 2012 while six members of Mbeya Press Club (MBPC) made a three – day tour of Tanga Press club (TPC) with effect from 29th August, 2012.

The Press Clubs exchange visits, provided a platform on which members and leaders of the said Press Clubs learned about what their counterparts have done/or still are doing in terms of arbitrating internal wrangles stemming from violation of professional ethics and leadership code of conduct. Kagera Press Club members visit to Media Club of Kilimanjaro (MECKI) is a case in point.

Not only have the members learned how other clubs are rendering services to their stakeholders, but also have raised leaders’ awareness of basic responsibilities for managing the Clubs, considering the existing development disparities between them. Mbeya Press Club’s visit to Tanga is a classic example.
