Bodi ya wakurugenzi ya UTPC, ikiongozwa na Mwenyekiti wake ambaye ni Rais wa UTPC Bwana Deo Nsokolo, imefanya vikao vyake vya mwisho wa mwaka na moja ya ajenda kubwa ilikuwa ni kupitisha Mpango Kazi na Bajeti kwa mwaka 2020.

Katika kikao hicho ambacho kilitanguliwa na vikao vya Kamati za Fedha na Mipango pamoja na Maadili na Mafunzo, pia kilipitisha ajira ya Ofisa Ugavi wa UTPC ambaye atakayeshughulikia masuala yote manunuzi.

Pamoja na mambo mengine Bodi ya Wakurugenzi imejadili na kupitisha masuala mengine kadhaa ikiwemo, mchakato wa kuandaa Mpango Mkakati 2021 – 2025, Mkakati wa kujenga uwezo wa Klabu kwenye usimamizi na udhibiti wa fedha, Orodha ya Makampuni ya utoaji huduma ambayo yatafanya kazi na UTPC kwa mwaka 2020.

Bodi hii pia imejadili suala la athari za nakisi kwenye bajeti zilizojitokeza wakati wa utekelezaji wa kazi zake kwa miaka minne iliyopita, lakini pia Bodi imepitisha taarifa ya maendeleo ya mafunzo mpaka kufikia mwezi Novemba mwaka huu.

The Guest of Honor of UTPCs 2019 Annual General Members Meeting, The President of Zanzibar Hon. Dr Ali Mohamed Shein opened the meeting and in his speech he emphasized the importance of the Union between Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar. 

Showing his appreciation of UTPC as an organization that portrays a realistic imagery of the Union Government. Journalists from all over Tanzania witnessed this momentous occasion an historical event that brought media and government in the same ecosystem as allied forces in standing for democracy. 

Daudi Mwangosi Award for courageous journalism is an important reminder of where we came from, the sacrifice of duty. With the continuous depletion of access to fundamental liberties of expression, this award is given to remarkable pioneers in the fields of expression and free speech in Tanzania.

Jamii forums are the winners of this year's award, with over a decade of pushing and forming a new narrative of expression. This institution has shaped modern means of taking ownership of ones voice and using it to formulate a progressive society. 

• With esteemed guests from the Embassy of Sweden, we are reminded of the potent role media plays for sustainable democracies. 

More than 84 Journalists from 28 regions of Tanzania are gathered in Zanzibar to commemorate Daudi Mwangosi Day on 6/9/2019 and the highly anticipated Annuals Members General Meeting on 7/9/2019. 

The Guest of honor will be the President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the revolutionary council. 

It's one of a kind historical event for the entire media ecosystem in Tanzania, Government and Media together standing for the values of true democracy.
